Thanks mom for sending this to me. It's a photo essay of some of the many types of vending machines in Japan. The funny thing is I actually got used to buying beer from a vending machine. When I think about it now it does seem totally stupid that a country would allow a vending machine to dispense alcohol. On the other hand, teenagers really don't seem to take advantage the way they could.
My other favorite pic is the parking garage shown above. You drive your car in that bay and a hydraulic racks and stacks your car in a (usually) ten-story building. It's pretty cool. But you are beyond screwed if you loose your ticket.
